Housing Rules for BYU-Idaho Students
BYU-Idaho requires single students younger than 27 to live in university-approved housing unless they are living with their parents. This policy is in place to help maintain a living environment that aligns with the
university’s principles and expectations.
All students must follow the BYU-Idaho Honor Code, which emphasizes:
- Leading a moral and virtuous life.
- Avoiding alcohol, tobacco, tea, coffee, and other harmful substances.
- Treating others with kindness and upholding honesty and integrity.
NorthPoint also requires students to adhere to BYU-I’s apartment visitor guidelines:
- Guests of the opposite sex may visit between 10:00 a.m. and curfew as long as at least three people are present (two of the same gender and one of the opposite).
- These visits are limited to shared areas like the kitchen and living room; bedrooms and bathrooms are off-limits.
- Overnight visits by individuals of the opposite gender are not allowed.
